Is anyone else putting their booth on vacation due to covid-19?

Yesterday someone purchased a ring from my booth and as I was starting to get it ready to ship, I considered the virus outbreak and the mandatory stay at home order that had just been extended in my state. After thinking about the situation and how easy it is for the virus to spread, instead of shipping the ring, I refunded my customer with a message explaining why I could not ship at this point in time. I have put my booth on vacation until things improve. In my heart, I think it is one small thing I can do to help minimize potential exposure to the virus for my family and others. Please be safe and take care of yourself and your family. Things are stressful and hard right now, but we will get through this particularly if we work together.

No. I am still posting items, and I usually take health precautions before shipping anyway. I am not expecting any orders at the moment because my stuff is considered non-essential anyway. If after I post everything I intend to, there are no stats, then I will put my shop on vacation until the coast becomes clear.

Nope, I am open for business. I have lots of DVD movies and TV series, perfect for cheap entertainment if people are stuck at home. I stocked up on these prior to my heart bypass surgery in anticipation of watching them during a long recovery but I bounced back rather quickly and now they are perfect for watching because we are Stuck at home. Putting them up afterwards here as we watch them.

My wife and I are not sick and dont intend to risk getting sick, trying to avoid others. We have no children so that makes it easier. I drop my packages at the PO outside bin, away from the counter so dont need to go inside with other people at the PO.

Best of luck to you all and stay safe.

I am still open. I still have a family to support. My husband is extremely high risk and still has monthly doctor appointments that he can’t miss. He can’t drive. So, I take him. So, I have the added expense of purchasing masks and gloves. We usually have some during flu season. But, we have already gone through those. I am still working. My job is considered essential and have not had a day off since March. So, I use the gloves and masks. Normally, I would not. I don’t tend to get sick.

My husband and I talked about closing. My business is what makes me happy. It is my outlet. It is not up to me to decide what others should spend their money on.

I know other business owners that have decided to close. It really is a personal decision. And there is no right or wrong. Stay safe.

No

I actually had most of my items already “pre packaged” before this happened and I have been wiping down anything I can that will not be damaged.

Most people can only buy online now, and are also either accepting packages with gloves on or wiping them down before bringing them in…

So no…not closing either..

We are open as well. Like others I am cleaning anything I can prior to shipping. Washing my hands prior as well.

Open as always. My items are stored away after listing in closed plastic containers that are labeled & numbered for inventory purposes. Actually I now ship same day instead of the usual 24 hour wait on orders received before 12 pm as my work closed on Tuesday. Here in AZ we do not have a mandatory stay at home ban, just the suggestion and of course non essential businesses are closed. Are you a clean person? Have a clean house? etc. etc…then you should have no issues and neither should your customers. Good luck to all during all of this craziness.

@FantasticFinds2014, of course I am a clean person and my house is clean lol. I basically closed my booth because my husband has had a triple bypass and right now his immune system is not the greatest. I do not want to take any chance of bringing the virus in to him.

I haven’t closed. I need the extra income, as my job was non essential. I work as an independent contractor. And in my state the unemployment office has said that it will be 3 weeks before they are set up to accept IC apps and then another 2-3 weeks processing time, before first check is issued.
