Item description
Vintage original 11x14 in. US lobby card #8 from the classic 1950's animated fantasy, 1001 ARABIAN NIGHTS, released in 1959 by Columbia Pictures and directed by Jack Kinney, in which Mr. Magoo's ancestor, Abdul Aziz Magoo, is the uncle of Aladdin, who falls in love with a princess. The cast includes the voices of Jim Backus, Kathryn Grant, Dwayne Hickman, Hans Conreid, Herschel Bernardi, Alan Reed, Daws Butler, and the Clark Sisters.
1001 Arabian Nights marked Mister Magoo's first feature-length animated film. The image features Mr. Magoo's ancestor, Abdul Aziz Mago, riding through a starry night sky with a cat holding onto him from behind. The border artwork near the title and credits depicts an image of Abdul Aziz Magoo playing an ornate wind instrument. It is unrestored in fine- condition with a Canadian censor stamp in the top right corner of the background area and random signs of wear in the borders. There are no pinholes, tears, stains, or other flaws and the color tints are fresh and vibrant without any signs of fading.
